The Inspirational Hoyt Team

I love the dedication and devotion this father has for making life wonderful for his son with disabilities. I wish every parent showed this same incredible love to all of their children - disabled or not. You might want to have a box of tissues nearby before clicking the play button . . .

Since they started road racing, around 1980, Dick Hoyt and his son Rick, a nonspeaking quadriplegic, have competed together in more than 900 races, including 24 Boston Marathons.

That was definatley touching. I love stories like that, it makes me want to be more and to be better for my kids. I find it amazing things people can do when they put their mind to it.

Thanks, Jules. Glad you liked it. I hope your tissues were the really soft, Puffs Plus kind. :)

I've heard a lot about this father-son team. It's amazing, isn't it? Always makes me cry. But I also always have to wonder about the other people in the race. You know, that guy who is just out there doing his best to run the race and gets passed by an old guy pushing his son. That would be me.
