David Militello on America's Got Talent

I missed this episode! Nine-year-old David Militello has autism. He didn't speak at all until he was three - and then, it was through his singing. This is an incredible video. Get the tissues ready!

Wow! No kidding I needed tissues! That was beautiful. Thanks for having that on your blog tonight. I needed that.

I was privileged to see another autistic boy sing at a concert put on by a song and dance school. He performed in some of the numbers, but the rest of the time, the director let him sit on the side of the stage, right next to the speakers, and he sang his heart out. His mother cried too. She said it was the first she'd seen him interact. Music is absolutely amazing.

Danyelle,

I saw this one - a rarity since I don't get to watch TV very much. He even made the judges shed a few tears...

He was incredible and the clip s of his mom! You knew she was thanking God for that moment.

Thanks for putting it up again!

Man, you made me cry. Good thing I already washed my face tonight.
Hey, Danyelle, thanks soooo much for commenting on my son's blog. He loved reading what you wrote!

I loved the mom's reaction. It's one of those moments any parent would be so proud and thankful of their child. What a blessing he had such supportive and encouraging parents! Thanks for stopping by!

Your son's blog is so cool! He's the same age as one of my daughters. I think it's really neat he's blogging, etc. My daughter has been writing her own stories, too. She wants to be a writer like mommy and a computer programmer like daddy when she grows up. Maybe she'll write programming for geeks books. :)

Danyelle,
Very touching. And what a moment for his parents, as well!

Thanks for posting it.

I love this video. I had seen a short clip somewhere else and had wanted to know more. I had his voice going through my head all weekend. Thanks for putting this up.
