Surgery Schedule

Children's Mercy Hospital called this morning to let us know the surgery schedule and info.

We will check into the hospital at 12:30 pm at Same Day Surgery. This is when we'll meet with the anesthesiologist and get Isaac all dressed and ready for surgery. Surgery will begin at 2 pm and is scheduled for 3 1/2 hours. So, sometime between 5 to 6 pm, Isaac should be done and we'll get to see him about another half hour after the surgery is completed in the recovery room.

Please say lots of extra prayers for Isaac and Dr. Snyder during this time. I will try to post the results and how Isaac is doing late Monday night.

We are continuing to pray for Isaac and your family. We will include Dr, Snyder. Even my two year old is praying for "Izic" to be calm and healthy.

It will all work out:)

You, John, Isaac, and the rest of your family are in our thoughts and especially our prayers.

Good luck--I know you can hold it together.

Thank you, everyone. We're very grateful for each of you! And Melanie, that's such a sweet story of your little one remembering Isaac in his prayers!

I'm sorry I've been too busy to be online and following this - we are still in the process of moving and have had quite a bit of company staying for 3-5 days at a time over the past 6 weeks. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. One of the things you and your husband need to be ready for is how hard it will be for you when your little man is prepped and heading for surgery; also when he comes out just watching him lying there in his bed - the emotions will be so raw for you and I hope you will have the peace and comfort of knowing that people around the world are sending positive thoughts to you and yours - thanks to you being the best mom ever by sharing this journey with us. Can you tell I've sort of been through a surgery with a child? :)
Isaac is in great hands (all around) and will come out of this asking for sorbet or ice cream.
If you feel up to it - email me your address so that I can send a little thinking of you gift to your children

Sorry, I meant to say we're thinking OF you. I think you're capable of thinking for yourself, especially since you're the ones there. :)
