"Whenever I feel down and out, I shut myself in a room and sit quietly and meditate. I think of all I have to be grateful for. Sometimes I think about something charming or funny my kids have said recently so that I smile, and sometimes I just close my eyes, breathe deeply, and let myself be."

I'd love to be as relaxed and comfortable as that little kitty there!

I need to take some more time for myself and for some meditating like that. I think it would be really soothing, and rejuvenating too.

Ali - I need to do it more often as well. Funny enough, I did it quite a lot when my kids were younger and we were trying to cope with autism. I haven't found myself doing it as often in the past year or so. I don't know if that's because things are going better . . . or if I'm just holding more things on my shoulders. Either way, I need to be more conscious of taking time to re-center myself each day. Let me know how you do!

This picture actually made me slightly sad.... a few days ago, the wind blew my spare room door shut. It slammed extremely hard... on my cats tail. Sad story short, her tail is about 3 inches shorter now. Happy to say though, she is fine now and finally back to her self.
