Are You Ready to Take a Nap?

My fourteen month old is so totally cute when it's nap time.

I just ask her, "Are you ready to take a nap?" Then she'll go find her binkie, walk down the hall, and stand in front of her crib. I get to snuggle with her for about a minute, until she reaches out towards her bed and I lay her down. Then she turns over onto her tummy, sticks her tushy in the air, and goes to sleep.

It's just the sweetest, cutest thing. Ahh . . . I hope it lasts for many more months to come.

Such a beautiful thing when babies willingly take naps. Mine is starting to resist a little. He'll be 3 in August, and he's been great about naps so far. I hope the last two days' resistence is going to end tomorrow.

Good luck with that. My three year old is only taking naps about half the time now. But what I've done with all my kids is even if they choose not to nap, it's "quiet time" at our house. Sometime around 4 years old, my kids usually play quietly in their rooms for about an hour. And sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised to find them asleep an hour later!
