Kindles for Kids

My awesome author friend, Danyelle Leafty, is donating all of her royalties for sales through March 31st toward purchasing Kindles for Kids to donate to the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center pediatric unit.

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!

A few years ago, our son (who was in 5th grade at the time) had a mass on his lungs. When it was discovered, we were terrified and overwhelmed. We spent a lot of time at the hospital - a couple weeks as inpatients, then lots of out of patient visits pre & post-op. We had a happy outcome (no cancer!) and our children's hospital was amazing. But still - it was a hospital, not the most fun place to be.

Danyelle plans to purchase as many Kindle Fires as possible and load them up with donated ebooks from authors & publishers.

How Can You Help?

  1. Purchase Danyelle's books.
  2. If you're an author, ask your publisher to donate a pdf or kindle version of your book to be loaded onto the Kindle Fires
  3. If you're a writer, write a short story to go with Danyelle's Fairy Tale Anthology she's creating for the pediatric unit.

You can read more about Danyelle & Kindles for Kids here.  And for convenience, here are some Amazon links to Danyelle's books.

Review Disclaimer: Sometimes a book I review has been sent to me for free by a publisher or an author. This in no way effects my review, which is my own opinion about whether the book was a good read for me, fit my tastes, and if I would recommend it to others. Other than possibly a free book, I am not compensated in any way for posting a review.
