Writers Retreat

Escape life's everyday hassles
for four days of writing abandon!
2011 Retreat Attendees with guest speakers Lisa Mangum (editor, Deseret Book Publishing Company) & Kirk Shaw (editor, Covenant Communications)
Each year in November, I host a writers retreat in Heber, Utah. Yes, that's a long way from Kansas, but the Rocky Mountains are worth the flight. The retreat is typically the first weekend of November - just in time to kick off your NaNoWriMo word counts!

Imagine yourself, all curled up with you laptop on a leather couch in a beautiful 6500 sq. ft house. There's lots of uninterrupted writing time. Plus, you'll enjoy writing sprints, guest speakers, and meeting other writers just as dedicated to the nutty life of being a writer as you are.

Registration will open in May for the 2012 retreat.   Because of an unexpected nasty bout of pneumonia, I will not be hosting a 2012 retreat. Registration for the 2013 retreat will be in May 2013. Thank you!

Here are a few pictures of the house's main floor. Tempted? Add in a theater room and huge activity room downstairs, an upper level, and eight bedrooms for gobs of space to spread out and discover your own writing nook.

I took this picture from the kitchen. The deer were in the back yard. Beautiful!

Review Disclaimer: Sometimes a book I review has been sent to me for free by a publisher or an author. This in no way effects my review, which is my own opinion about whether the book was a good read for me, fit my tastes, and if I would recommend it to others. Other than possibly a free book, I am not compensated in any way for posting a review.
