But I think the cello is super awesome--if I didn't play the violin, I think I'd want to play the cello.

But the flute is good too . . .

Hmm, I'm no help at all!Stephanie Blackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08848784501386694887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3265041595520726324.post-50335253689956731332011-09-02T15:29:35.257-05:002011-09-02T15:29:35.257-05:00I am a little biased as well since I played the ce...I am a little biased as well since I played the cello as well. I started in 5th grade and was given fabulous experiences through my childhood. In middle school and high school I got to play in Handel's Messiah at church, which is such fun music to play. In high school I was able to play with FSYO and tour England and then two years later it took me to Australia to play in the Sydney Opera House. Once in college the cello wasn't as popular so I was the only cello player for BYU-H. I would also fill in with the band and went on tour with them and played the bassoon part on my cello. Such fun times, all made possible through the cello.

The only downside to the cello was how big it was. I remember in middle school getting on the bus with it. That was an experience. Then once I moved to my nice cello and had the hard case it took up the whole back seat of our Protege.

One thing that I loved about the cello is the low notes. I'm not a fan of the violin because of some of the shrill notes that it can make when you don't know what you are doing. Even as I was learning and hit a wrong note, it still sounded great on the cello. :)

So, again I'm biased, but I think the cello is a great choice.

I'm excited to see what she decides on. She will be great with whatever she chooses!Riquino Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11545331857462396258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3265041595520726324.post-45214982521139760252011-09-02T13:47:54.880-05:002011-09-02T13:47:54.880-05:00I am a little biased on the subject.
